Counselling is for those people who have a sense of well-being but sometimes can’t handle certain things on their own. It is used in various fields like education, medical, arts, personality development etc.

The basic difference between psychotherapy and counselling is that psychotherapy is meant for people who have no sense of well-being and suffer from some sort of mental health or psychological problems(patients),where as counselling is meant for normal people who have sense of well-being(clients).

· Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis for self-improvement and/or the release of problems. All hypnotherapy employs hypnosis; but not all hypnosis is hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy uses hypnotic techniques to bring about beneficial changes. Utilizing states of deep relaxation, the therapist assists in uncovering and exploring memories, emotions and past events which may affect a person’s conscious mind and activating the client’s inner resources in order to achieve the desired goals. It is used to treat numerous medical and psychological problems. Hypnotic techniques are useful to stop smoking, overcome alcohol and substance abuse, treating stress, sleep disorders and mental health problems such as anxiety, fear, phobias and depression.

NOTE: Hypnotherapy is used as a technique in psychotherapy to help overcome psychological problems and is done in psychotherapy sessions only when there is a necessity and when the client shows complete willingness.
